With many unique spots to photograph, including some neutral blank walls, we'll curate the perfect session for you and you'll see why this is one of my favorite places to photograph.
Pier A, Hoboken
Looking for the best place to photograph with the NY skyline? Meet us in Hudson County at Pier A in Hoboken, NJ overlooking the NYC Skyline.
Select a package and date to meet at the Piers to photograph portraits of your family, professional headshots or fashion brand's social media content. Request Liberty State Park or Weehawken in the comments of your RSVP for alternate location.

Whether window shopping, museums, themed cafes, restaurants and bars, Broadway, Tiffany's, Rockefeller Center for the Tree Lighting, Minneta Lane, Bryant Park Christmas Village or Ice Skating, Central Park and the Conservatory, or our newest location to at the Piers of Battery Park, NYC. We would love to design your photoshoot around the city. Goffle Brook Park, Hawthorne
A local favorite, Goffle Brook Park has a little bit of something for everyone. The long park is narrow and bends with the brook that is its namesake along a paved path lined with stone. Beautiful foliage, water and some great architectural features makes Goffle Brook Park a very popular option for your family and seasonal headshots.

One of our newest locations to photograph, the Davis Johnson Garden is a hidden gem right in the heart of Tenafly. The landscape features irenic foliage amidst heavy stone features right out of antiquity, climbing with ivy and age including two stone lions flanking a wide, decadent staircase. Perfect for generational portraits as well as smaller families.

ABOUT
Hi I'm Jennifer, owner and primary photographer of Village Studio Photography & Portraits located in downtown Ridgewood, NJ and Montclair, NJ.

When I was 16, I knew I wanted to help people see who they really were, not fully knowing what that meant or having any experience with a camera. Here we are almost 20 years later and (talk about manifesting) I am a portrait artist who visually tells people's stories, especially of women, and captures the spaces they are in (mental space, family dynamic, highlighting relationships, professional aspirations) in order to empower and to drive to success by use of light and beauty. I gather an essence of how my subject would like to be portrayed. Professional. Strong. Sexy. Innovative. Warm. Elegant. A connector. In order to create timeless, yet modern, heirloom-quality fine works of art.

After going to school for art, I was trained to paint as a mural artist, taking pictures as references for the figures in the paintings. After that I was hired by a photography studio and formally taught how to use the camera where I was going to people's homes to photograph their children and milestones. After learning all I could technically, I went out on my own to document the lives of my clients and give back to my community.
